Like so many other things, Corona also prevented the Camerata Bern’s European tour with its Grammy-winning program “Death and the Maiden. But the ensemble and its director Patricia Kopatchinskaja did not let the pandemic stop them. Instead, at short notice, together with director Quinn Evan Reimann, they realized a cinematic adaptation of the program in the Great Hall of the Reitschule Bern, in which works from the Middle Ages to the modern era interweave and contrast Franz Schubert’s most famous quartet.
